braking fluid sensor problem

Hi everyone,
Couple of weeks ago after breaking on highway, braking fluid level warning light came on together with yellow DSC light. During several weeks it came several times back on, later at least ones in a day. I went to BMW dealer where they told me that a braking fluid sensor is malfunctioning, my braking fluid was ok and that yellow DSC light is probably caused by the same sensor malfunction. So changing braking fluid sensor will solve the problems. Unfortunately they didn’t have those sensors in stock so I have to wait for one now. I am still waiting for sensor to arrive, but yesterday have got more problems - the battery went flat, so I couldn’t even open my car with remote.
Does anyone had a similar problem with sensor? Does flat battery have anything to do with broken sensor?

Take the sensor off the cap and test it for continuity with a volt/ohm meter. Mine was fine and the brake light was due to a bad wheel sensor.
