You have the offsets? People on the boards run corvette/camero wheels with wobble bolts some times. how wide are the lips you could buy smaller lips to get a better fit...need offsets.

They're probably an offset of around +55, you'll need to space them at least 20-25mm, those don't sell for much more than $1500 unless they were refinished to a better than factory state... in the shape you described them they shouldn't sell for much more than $800-$1000

just to help you out, no they won't fit your E36 without an extreme amount of work probably negating the fact that they are a cheap purchase
any 10" wide wheel is a challenge to fit on an E36, the fact that they're 16's makes the whole formula that much more difficult, it won't look good, it won't work without tons of work.
get some 17's or 18's and nothing wider than 9". With the proper offsets you'll be able to run a good amount of tire, fill up the fender wells, and be able to carry a proper ride height that won't screw up your handling
