e39/528i SSK Recommendations

Sorry for being search challenged, but I am looking for some recommendations on a SSK for a buddy who just purchased a '99 528iT.

He is on a budget, so using another OEM shifter would be preferable, but I cannot seem to find out which shifters are compatible to the e39.

Recommendations and experiences are welcome!

p.s. Why didn't anyone tell me those e39s drive so well when I was shopping for my e36?!? I think I've figured out what my next bimmer purchase is gonna be :devillook

any cons to that setup?

i'll probably suggest the 545i shifter + ZHP knob
