And it will still outhandle and out-brake almost every car in the same price range

The only problem is it SHOULD say $110,000+ car hits 10 second quarter....:)

it will probably out handle and out brake ANY car in the price range short of a kit car of some sort that you wouldnt want on a daily basis.

from what i'm hearing the ZR1 is very comfortable too.

ZR1 is proving to be VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE.

it should say 110k factory corvette hits 10 FLAT 1/4 mile w bolt ons.

seriously impressive hardware from the factory.

I really cant wait to see what that car does when a full exhaust and other mods are added, wouldnt be surprised to see 145-150mph traps.

I still think a Busa could beat it for 10K!, is it lifting the left front wheel?, thats impressive for a street car.

beat it in what? sure looks like its lifting the front wheels, not sure about the right front as you cant tell in that photo but it wouldnt shock me, that car is making over 600wtq by 2200rpms!!!

what's the rpm limit on those motors, crazy torque, or should i say that's diesel torque, that's the kind of torque a turbo diesel makes

looks like either the fuel cut kicked in at 6500rpms or thats where they ended the dyno.

such huge TQ numbers for having a HP line that doesnt fall! I love it.

maybe one day BMW will engineer something this crude that can match the overall power numbers, but I doubt it.

BMW never will. They turned into mostly luxury than outright speed. Even porsche is failing with the CGT (aka, rich man killer)

How about 802hp from a 4 banger? They already did it.

and Mitsubishi has made well over 1300hp from a 4 banger, but it wasnt Mitsubishi it was tuner...same w/ your reference and same with mine w/ the ZR1

the difference is, the Zr1 only has bolt ons, show me a 802hp bolt on BMW. You cant.

My mistake, the BMW Four banger made 1450 hp., 25 years ago!

well you are obviously not talking about a production car.

Maybe I can start quoting HP numbers from aircraft carriers to compete.

understood, I was certainly referring to a production engine....not a 1 off race engine that costs 50k to rebuild every time its used.

though I would LOVE to be able to even hear something like that in person.

That is an impressive time, but everyone says bolt on, which to me usually means to an N/A car specifically.....it is supercharged no?

Its supercharged from the factory. Bolt ons refer to aftermarket off the shelf parts, not custom fabbed peices.

I'd love to get a black on black ZR1, debadge it, black out the hood, and go have some fun on the streets :evil2

also refers to leaving the major engine components intact. So no adding F/I, no rebuilding the engine, etc.

no sh*t

I'd love to give that a try!
