I have a 2006 BMW 330i, and I am leasing it. My tires have gone bald and I need to replace them. The dealership is saying that the total price for my tires is 1500. These are the tires the dealership is suggesting:

Bridgestone Potenza RE050A RFT

In my lease it requires that I have run flats because there is no spare tire on the car. I don't know too much about tires but I am looking for a run flat that costs significantly less than 1500, are there any companies which make run flats suitable for my car that don't cost 1500? I get a deal on bridgestone (my gf works there) and its 35% off, but still I cant afford over a grand for tires. If anyone has a link to some different tires or a site where I can find lower prices for some run flats I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Go for the Bridgestone discount. I can't believe 35% knocked off would leave you with a 1000 dollar tab.

I really don't want to spend a grand though? Arent there any other brands out there that cost like 5-700?

The dealers price is irrelevant as a comparison point. That tire costs $225 at Tirerack.com and they have runflat Continentals for $172. They also have Kumho Ecsta runflats for $135 and that is a typical tire to put on a lease car just befpre returning it. Shop around. If gf works at a Bridgestone dealer you should be able to do a lot better than Tirerack's price and stay well under $1000.

It all depends on what size you have. If you have the 225/40R18 - 255/35R18 split then there aren't going to be continentals available...there's really not going to be much available other than the bridgestones or michelins.

You should be able to beat the 1500 price tag, but I doubt you'll get anywhere close to 500...you bought a BMW bro...it goes with the territory.

I have an 06 330 too. When it was time for new tires, I bought some brand new takes offs for about 50% of tireracks price. Try e90 post classifieds.

I have the Continental run flat in the 225/45R17 at 172.00 each and there is a mail in rebate for a free GPS system. You would be around 725.00 delivered.
If I can help let me know.
