Both are intense looking cars, although i think the 3 series looks alot better with the top up, butthe front of the IS and those rear lights are just deviant

Hmmm... You're posting this on a BMW enthusiast forum. I wonder what the outcome will be... ;)

Splitting them based on looks is very difficult. The 328 will almost definitely have the handling edge over the Lexus. I'd take the 328. It will be the most fun to drive.

BMW is sexy and sporty! Love the interior.
Lexus is more of a comfort car in my opinion, and not as fun to drive... I'd say for old people.
And again, love the BMW interior :)

BMW if you want the faster sportier car.
Lexus is you want the more comfortable car, don't mind it being slower. really w/e, the IS and 3 coupe are both great looking cars, I think the hard top vert hurts the looks of both, perhaps the Lexus a but more because its going from sedan to vert, and its looking slightly more awkward. Interior, both are good, couldn't really complain about either.

IMO the BMW would be a much more fun car to drive, and looks better too. But the Lexus will be more reliable, require less maintenance and will be more trouble free than the BMW.

I still like the BMW better though.

Personally i think lexus did a better job hiding the lines of the covertible then the bmw, lexus also wins the way it puts the top up or down is something you could actually watch rather then just being a process to add/erdicate the roof to bad it adds 460 lbs more wieght vs the bmw's 400 lbs

the front and side is no different from the 328i and the rear just has one tail pipe instead of two and the interior is exactly the same besides the DCT handle, unfortunatly its pretty damn hard to find decent pics of the 328i
