View Full Version : So I have a coolant leak from the return cooling pipe?

I noticed I suddenly had a small leak from what I can tell quite clearly is coming from the return cooling pipe that goes to the transmission. Anyone has anything like this happen to your radiator? (E34 M30). I don't see any cracks around the area. The lug nut is tight too.. Could it be the O-Ring? Just curious, before I drain all my coolant......

Are you sure its coolant? I am pretty sure thats just the cooler liners that have ATF running through them.

Oh wait, you're right. I must be high or something. It's actually not ATF leaking. It's good old coolant.....It seems to be around the area where the return pipe for the ATF is though.......

Check the heater hoses and expansion tank on the firewall.
