The current piece of moulding on my 535 it looks as though its connected to the lower grille. I've seen pictures of it done, but looking at it, it doesn't seem feasible.

He's talking about the center bumper trim section that also doubles as the plate holder (one piece).
Take apart a bumper and you'll see what I mean.

two different bumper covers, m5 vs standard e34. Can't put an m5 front trim piece (plate delete) on an e34 bumper.

So is it a no go then? How did the guy in the pic I posted do it?

It's a M-Tech bumper pictured.

I know someone on the boards has done this. Didn't look right though.

That bumper doesn't look OEM to me, the trim looks like it's part of the bumper :dunno

That's an M Sport bumper, which uses the same plate delete strip as the M5 bumper (virtually the same bumpers anywho)

It's just another reason to get the M5 bumper...a big reason why I went with mine.
