First thing is first, pictures are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/32772303@N00/sets/72157619526726861/

You are free to criticize the bumper, my asking price, and my personal tastes;). I will entertain trades, I'm looking for OEM+ wheels. I can and will help with delivery in the southeast.

What is a fair price? I have a number in my head and want to see if it's in line with other enthusiasts. How interested are people? Would you be more interested if I prepped it for paint and fixed the lip? How much more is that worth to you?

Or should I just keep it and suffer the poor college life for another semester?

Do you have a pic with the license plate off? I'd guess $300 as is. I would probably only consider it for around $200 though. I wouldn't pay extra for prep- as I could do it myself.

I have some style 32's (17X8, 17X9) with 225/45/17 yoko S.Drives, and 8 or so stock 15X7s with tires in Bham. PM me if you want to talk about trades

Don't sell it unless you name a price. Speculation is the reason the economy is in the toilet

haha- I wasn't trying to over/underbid you. There is no way I'd trade my 32's with tires for this bumper. I would need cash on top as I have no need for it. It's all you if you want to work a deal with him. Sorry for the apparent..whatever it is you think I did.

Tyler, if you dare trade for 32's after all that F-ing work I did on those others, I will personally destroy that M bumper before its shipped.

You need to say, T-stars only please.

I'd like to thank everyone for their responses and trade offers. Right now, I think I'm going to continue to live the poor college life for another semester and try to get other things slowly sorted on my car.

Some stuff hasn't worked out the way I wanted it to, so I am forced to move forward on this piece. I'm asking $500 picked up. I have no problem helping out with delivery if someone wishes to avoid shipping costs. I have family as far up as D.C. and as far down as just outside of Macon, GA so I can help out with transportation of it.

If you are interested, PM me or respond here. I am still open to criticism as the original post indicated :)

Are you still looking for wheel trades- or cash only (I am not asking for myself).

clevertd

Unless I could flip the wheels quickly, cash only right now.

Do you know the exact color of the bumper? My car is silver but I believe its called salmon silver. Would you take 350 for it. I live in dc

clevertd
07-27-2009, 01:28 AM
I have the VIN of the car it came off of, guess I'll have to call the dealer to find out more information since the VIN decoder doesn't mention color codes. $350 is not what I am prepared to take.

I just spent some coin on the materials and tools necessary to repair the lip of the bumper, will include with the sale if someone is interested before I repair it.

For those interested, here's what I'm going to be using, following this link: http://www.bodyshopzone.com/archives/collision/bumper_cover/Mercedes.html

I think it will turn out pretty well!

I sell that stuff.. Good stuff... Just make sure its good and clean and scuffed well and you shouldn't have any problems.

Edit: after looking at your pics.. Make sure you V out that crack on the outside too.. then run a bead of 04240 down it.. and sand it smooth.

How much for the 4240 and applicator gun shipped?
I got an extra Porsche bumper that needs some help.

clevertd

I'd like to keep it all part of the package for now, but if I end up fixing it, I'll cut you a deal on the gun and the extra 4240.

Yep. I believe my brother has started to work on fixing the lip since I'm pretty much limited to working on it whenever I go home, which isn't often.

The primer I sprayed on the lip will need to be sanded/scuffed for paint to stick. But the paint shop would do that for you. The damage is repaired. I didn't take pictures, but on the backside I also cut a V-groove and filled with the 3M-4240 for that extra bit of strength. I didn't sand it down though as its not visible. I can get more detailed pics sometime this weekend.

Is the front bumper painted, just the lip isn't? Can you do 400 shipped?

I've got a trade worked out for the bumper, just waiting until next weekend. Thank you for your interest.
