how this happened, i have no idea. wheel slipped off the hub as i was taking it off, may have fell on the top of the brake shield (not really shown) and broken a piece off... old and rusty metal. the toothed inner part of the hub is rubbing with some of the metal on the inside.
rental car, $50 a day. car off the road because of this dumbass shit. priceless. also had what i thought was a sticking caliper. ripped the piston boot putting it back on, so i have to wait till tomorrow to get that ordered. now not so sure the caliper was sticking.
