I've never seen any sort of setup with 4 tail pipes on an E34 before. Is it not possible? I'm not looking to try to make it work, just curious to see what it would look like if it could in fact work.

I have.....not really a fan of any of the ones that i saw. To me it's purely aestetic.....otherwise an addition of unnecessary weight.

Very easy to do.
But why????
Just a bunch of extra weight on a car thats already fat from big macs and fries.

Looks OK. With the pipes closer together it'd look pretty cool. Only two ways to do it - fake quad-exhaust would route from the muffler or its output, behind the fuel tank. True quad-exhaust would require fabricating a fuel cell, since you'd need a muffler in the same place where much of the tank is.
True dual exhaust makes I6's sound like V6's. With a V8 or V12, though... .

:embarrasm Thanks for the hookup anyways. It definitely does not do anything to improve the look of the car IMO. My curiosity has been satisfied. :)

Isn't the exhaust one of the best engineered parts of these cars?

BavAuto sells them. It's a sleeve type chrome price that slides over the stock pipe and they look nice. I know I have them.

why would you want to add a second set of non working pips?:confused
don't get me wrong, they look bad ass, but if you want a dual exhaust, make a true dual exhaust (i'm talking full exhaust, not split off somewhere). extra tips is the ricey way of doing it.
