I have to buy the slave, master cylinder and a clutch (probably the Sach one)! Do you have any comments on the parts? That's the first time i see a flywheel, so i can't tell if it's in "ok" condition!

do you think you could measure the length of the shift linkage for me? When i picked up my tranny the 325i linkage was on it...so i kept it...I could see them being similar lengths, but if they were the same thatd be great!
EDIT: different transmission, wont help me =[

holy hell, this is the perfect opportunity to measure the shift linkage
I need the length, in mm, from center pin to center pin (as exact as possible)
with this number UUC can create a custom DSSR for the 540i/6!!!
please PM me with the number, although I've definitely subscribed here

He didn't say wrong, he said different. He's got an m50 or m20, I forget which. To clean it, I'd soak it in some Purple Power for a day or two, then hose it off. Scrub it with PP while it's soaking using a toothbrush or something similar, that'll get all the shmeg off. Once it's rinsed, you can use something like Eagle Mag Cleaner to really get the aluminum clean.

Would need to see the friction surface of the wheel to know if it has any wear problems.

Thanks :)! I'll try to do that and post pictures! Binjammin, i have to tell you that i'm learning some new word in each of your post (like shmeg) :stickoutt! I'm not bilingual yet!

Just to make sure, use photoshop and draw the exact lenght you want me to measure and send it to my email (curve_solutions@hotmail.com)! DSSR, Double Shear Selector Rod? Cost $$$?

I just e-mailed you and gave Rob at UUC the head's up that you'll be calling.
I appreciate you doing this, in fact all of us 540i/6 EVO3 owners appreciate it!
When you call UUC, go to the tech support extension and Rob will pick right up.

I missed the first pic (on iPhone)
From what I can see the flywheel looks decent.

I still need to buy the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. Some online shop only have 530i slave and master cylinder. Would any slave and master cylinder (from a manual e34) fit on my 540i? Because there is quite a huge difference in price between the slave cylinder for a 540i($122.80) and a 530i($39.57)(http://www.aboveallmotorwerks.com)!
Edit : just found one made by Febi for the E39...that would be awesome if it could fit on my e34 540i! http://www.familycar.com/store/?Ntt=bmw+540i+febi+clutch+slave+cylinder&oes=true

send a PM or e-mail my way with the measurements and I'll call him ASAP
I purchased a DSSR last christmas and received one for a Euro M5 6-speed :95
come to find out, UUC doesn't have that center-pin to center-pin measurement
never got around to making a DSSR for the 540i/6...with this, now he can
I do not have a rebate, but since I received the wrong product, I can trade for free
