So, i picked up the 5 speed transmission, linkage and tower, flywheel, pressure plate to begin my 5 speed swap. I also picked up a highbeam and engine cover as they were both cracked. I still have a few more things to gather along with the endless list of nuts and bolts. but im determined to get this done within 26 days of todays date! i plan on taking a week off from work and working on the car throughout, giving me time to order parts if needed to get my car back on the road asap!
heres the pics (Dirty of course from donor car) il be updating with pics and info in my swap thread found Here-http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1247915

Rear wheel drive makes it much easier. Once you get the pedal box in, everything else is pretty easy.
i hope everything will work fine for you! I'm also doing a manual swap...i don't know yet how i will be able to remove the transmission from the car. How high will you get your car of the ground and how?

I love how there are other BMW/NISSAN fans around :D I would dare say that the BMW swap will be harder to do with jack stands alone.

now that i think about it, you are right... i can see a few points where RWD can be easier... such as the drive shaft rather than axles that easily fall apart...
