Hey there every1 my name is Ace. New to the site. i will Have a pic of the car up soon. Basicly up to date with my car, i have a fresh rebuilt head, new clutch, J.C chip, Nology hot wires, Plasma booster, Custom cold-air intake to the back of the high beam, BMP Short Shifter, Straight pipe cat-back, and somethings i might be forgetting add ons, nothing major, but to the point i feel if the car is too lean on high rpms...felt this after a few races with E36 M3s i would blow them off the line nd the would creep closer on 3rd gear but never pass me. I want to get a Over bore Throttle body and bigger injectors i feel i need them but all i see around is 19lb i was thinking something higher?...what does anyone recommend, thanks for the time.

You need bigger injectors for your exhaust.

You aren't running lean, it is the nature of the M30. It tops out at around 5500 RPMs. This is due to both the cam profile design and the head design. A BBTB and more fuel won't do you any good if you can't get the air in there. The best mod you can do is to turbo it, with the easiest way to do that being a TCD kit.

Thats a good point. I was thinkin of doing the turbo swap from the 80s 745i with a garret, but dont know how hard would be, Father owns a shop...so labor free

Nd here it is....

Those log manifolds tend to crack a bit. Considering the cost involved and the need to then get a custom tune, the TCD kit is the weapon of choice.

ur car is siick. dont get that 745i turbo, check out tcd's turbo kit or just by tcd's manifold and fab the rest up yourself

Beautiful Car. I always find mine faster than most think as well. I bought a turbo kit from an euro 745i a few weeks ago for $600. My goal is a cheap, reliable, non-intercooled setup for 300whp. From what I have heard, it shouldn't be that hard.

Unless you want to go turbo, get rid of the CAI, get yourself a cam, MAF conversion, Adj FPR, and 4.10 LSD.

Set of headers and open up the exhaust (before cat) to help it breathe.

Done

I saw a guy on ebay selling bored m30 throttle bodies. The last one I saw listed went as an auction and finished at $200. Miller's MAF is my next upgrade once I feel my car is in decent shape to show it to them (I live about 40kms away). lol

Jordan Milos is the guy who sells the bored out throttle bodies. He does the machining work himself.

I run his throttle on my TCD S3 1989 635csi 5-speed turbo. Car is a beast.

The person that's being hated upon is a former member that was *literally* banned for being too stupid and annoying. Mostly it was annoying how stupid he is. It's stunning, he was given several chances and just couldn't stop. Now he's back with a new account and is trolling with stupid questions again.

Classic example was when he asked what lug nuts were for. Get it now?

Queens, is a little F!@#&% that has been banned a few times for just being too stupid and now has came back under a new name.

Good luck with going turbo this is the kit people are mentioning http://www.turbochargingdynamics.com/. Not hating but why an M badge be proud you have a 535i its easy to go FI and it was the basis for the ALPINA B10 Biturbo and the M5.

Yes, his hood scoop is real. He owns a real, RARE care called the Impulse RS. It's a turbo AWD Isuzu. VERY cool little car, not to be mocked. The car owned by Queens is covered in evosport stickers. Hence him talking about stickers, he's not making fun of you.

So far as Stage II goes, you should save up and go right for stage 4 or 5. Stage 6 is kinda crazy though, you should work your way up to that.

Nice car. If you want to buy a turbo kit your best bet is either a kit from Turbochargingdynamics or miller performance like others have said.

xatlas0
06-09-2009, 06:59 PM
In that case, the TCD S2 or Miller setups should work well. They will both net you ~360 rwhp with matching or more torque. Both setups are about 5k.

Yes it is real. It is OEM. Get the stick out of your ass, I wasn't talking to you. Know what else is funny? Your butchering of the English language.

Lol.

I'm running 22lb Bosche Design III injectors with custom software for them. I'm really happy with the MAF its a big improvement even over my old EAT chip which I was very happy with. I'd like to run against your's since I hear that porting and polishing does a lot for our heads. It looks like I've got the intake taken care of while you have the exhaust end handled. My motor is pretty strong but since your head is fresh I'm doubting any type of victory. It'd be more for shits and giggles. I can't lock in a time or place right now since I am very busy with school and family obligations but sometime in the near future I'm down to have a good old fashioned M30 showdown with you. What shop does your dad own? I'm close with the owner of German Auto Sport in Berkeley.

19lb injectors are recommended otherwise you'll run rich without the proper software matched to them. IMO its a worthless upgrade unless you take the route I did. If anything just have yours rebuilt. I had mine done at a shop in Concord @ $99 for all six.
