Where is my CPS?

I searched everywhere looked on real oem blah blah blah, but I cant find where my Crankshaft Position Sensor is located. Please help,:):cool

Look under the thermostat housing. The wiring for it actually runs above the thermostat housing.

OK so Im gonna be replacing my CPS here shortly, does anyone have a DIY they have done, or point me in the right direction? I have searched and searched and came up empty handed. Im sure I could do it without an explanation, but it would be nice to have some pics and stuff. Thanks:)

I googled BMW m50 crank sensor and found this...

Yellow arrow is the sensor, the other two show where/how the wire is routed. The other end is a plug somewhat buried under the intake, but accessible.
