So my LTWs aren't in bad shape, but there is a little bit of curb rash from the previous owner and they aren't perfect, not as shiny as they could be. I was thinking about repolishing them, anyone done this? If the design were a bit less complex I wouldn't really be worried about it, the process is fairly straightforward albeit fairly arduous, but considering the design of the wheels i'm worried I may not be able to adequately sand/polish some of the harder to reach areas.

I have wrestling with the same problem. I have a set that I would like to freshen up, but I would like to keep the machined surface. I think that it may be a little too flashy and bright with a straight polish. From what I have read I would need to get the wheels re-machined, where a CNC would trim away thousandths of an inch and restore the wheels to their original shine and retain their scored/machined surface. This is pricey though.

I have too many irons in the fire as it is already--so this is on the back burner. Let me know what you end up doing. Good luck!

hmmm, I wish I knew of a shop that I trusted to do this. I don't think I'd mind the high polish on the lip but I feel like doing the whole thing would be way too flashy. That and they aren't in horrible shape so the idea of stripping off the clear coat to re-do them scares the hell out of me.

I used a few dremel bits to address minor curb rash on one rim...looks better then before. ALso used mother's rim polish, might buy that polishing ball next.

If only you're in Socal! I'm using a shop that does what you guys have mentioned.

LTWs look beautiful polished, look up my old for sale thread or threads in the rides section. I had a mint set with mirror polished lips...

I miss them dearly.
