Try giving it a couple taps on the wrench with a rubber mallet, BUT take it easy !!!!

Try breaking it loose with the engine cool.
Metal expands when hot.
Aftet you break it loose leave it finger tight and bring the engine back to
Operating temprature and drain.

My oil cap was installed with a 1" impact, or at least it seamed that way. I had to wrap it in a rag and grab a big ass pair of channel locks and I still had to wrestle it off. What is up with that? It has a stop so it can only go so far. I couldn't believe how friggin' tight it was. Maybe they stick to the cover or something.

Alright I tried all of the suggestions and finally got it. probably the combination of what seems like a can of pb, some sledgehammer throws, and help from another power. stupid a** who put it on must not konw what a torque wrench is, as is says the specs on the cap. channel locks destroyed the threads looks like i'm buying a new cap soon.
