No run good?

2000 540 110,000 mi. Here are the symptoms... Car hesitates if you blip the throttle. Stalls frequently after warm. When you pull up to a light and engage the clutch the revs will fall almost to zero, surge up over 1000 and then settle to a normal idle. I've replaced the MAF, both pre-cat O2 sensors and fuel filter, and had fuel adaptations reset, and nothing seems to help. Any suggestions? Maybe a vacuum leak? I had it looked at by local shop and they explained that the car is not smart enough to tell what’s happening. No CEL at this point. Frustrating.....

Check your spark plugs, spark plug boots, and vac leaks. Oh yeah and the idle control valve. hope you solve it.

No ICV on M62TUs afaik. I check the vacuum lines, boots, and gaskets. Your TB boot might be cracked - bend it and inspect it closely.

I'm not sure what is causing your problem, but any shop that comments on the intelligence level of my car in the negative has lost my business!!!:shifty

I agree. I have yet to find a shop here in SE MI that I'm satisfied with.
