I am loving that, the future rather than the past. If the small block was only an LSX we'd be in business!

love that setup too, i'm not too worried about the LSx setup on this car, i'm sure whatever is built into that engine outflows the LSx heads by a ton.

just might take nitrous, but I bet that SBC will do its best to those spooled by what? 3,500rpms?

Guessing here

I am more talking about drag racing's tendency to make rules that force technology to be stagnant in the 60s. The LSX engines are far better than old school SBC, however the race R&D on the old school stuff is vast.

I know that LSX is the way of the future right now and a twin turbo LSX engine is the way to go. Good LSX heads will outflow good SBC heads because you can't stop the march of technology.

V8 engines work very differently in building exhaust gas compared to an inline 6. The V8 make far more flow at low RPMs and therefore spool much larger turbos up much faster. In a race engine you want full spool at lower than 3500 RPM .. don't forget V8s run out of redline faster than peaky inline 6s.

And the dump pipe just exits under the sills! :-)

remember that sbc is 2 1/3 times bigger than our small 6 cyl. That motor and those turbo's made 2475hp on C-16 gas. We have the NHRA nationals here this weekend so not much will get done this weekend. I can walk to Rt.66 racetrack in less than 5 min from my front door. I'll be workin on John Lawson's fuel funny, car wish us luck to qualify as this will be our first outing this year. LOL ///J.T.///

As if I didn't have enough to do. I'm helping my neighbor build a Mini Rod Tractor puller. We started on this 2 weeks ago. I know it looks funny but it will have a 377ci Blown and injected small block and will be able to pull a friggin house (barn). LOL
