sold the MVR's and picked these up,

hre 546 high polish finish

19x8.5 et 38 235/35/19
19x9.5 et 46 245/35/19 with rolled fenders

couldn't beleive there is no rubbing at all

btw, for those interested in purchasing cf fenders, contact David at Dtmotorwerks.com. I think he may have some, if not there is another website I can dig up that may have some also.

Willy:

Your car looks great. I just relo'd to ATL from NY. Where did you get your fenders rolled? I currently live in Sandy Springs and I also drive a Cosmos M3. I was looking at the I forged Aero's which are similar to your wheels, but I never thought that I could squeeze 19 x 8.5/9.5 on there. What susp. are you running?

Those wheels look incredible! I am running a set of HRE 540's in 18's. I wish I had gone 19's now! Good luck.

thanks guys

chisau - Welcome to Atlanta. I'm in the Duluth area. The only place I found that rolled fenders is Butler Tire in Marietta; 75 bucks a side. The 19x8.5's were a piece of cake to fit. Im surprised I could fit 9.5's with 245 tires in the rear. Im dropped almost 2 inches in the rear too. I looked at Iforged wheels before. The prices are very attractive but I decided against them after reading numerous stories by dissappointed customers.

Silver - the fenders were 600

stylin - thanks man, how are the MVR's holding up? I'm surprised that my set have held up pretty well.

alright. wow. okay this is what i'm wondering. lol you just did carbon fiber fenders and hood.. then you get HREs. that puts a whole in your pocket. i barely have enough money to do anything to my car now. i understand tuning a bimmer is hella expensive and this is none of my business but where do you get ALL that money? cuz i know HREs each are like 500$. lol im jus wondering.

very very hott car. lovin it. :)

Willy,

Make sure you keep an eye on your tire pressures, HRE's are not as strong as some people may think, specially running the setup you have (I have had the same setup for the past year or so). Also, unless you want to be a slave to those wheels in terms of keeping them nice and polished, use Mother's wheel/metal polish on a regular basis. They are nice looking wheels, but they are a pain in the ass to keep them looking that way.

Willy///M3
08-23-2003, 01:25 PM
thanks everyone.

I picked up the set used for 3500. I'm kinda split 50/50 on weather I should paint the centers black. What do you guys think?

m3ryder, chris,

I love your acs spoiler.

///mcubed,

thanks for the heads up man. My set came clearcoated but the clearcoat is starting to come off so I'm gonna have the shop strip the cleatcoat and repolish them for me without clearcoat this time. I'll be sure to pick up the Mothers polish you recommended.
Any pics of your car? I'd imagine they look stunning on your Alpine White.

MGregski
08-23-2003, 02:56 PM
What do you mean "centers"? I'd leave them alone. Sick wheels:buttrock

Willy,

I am most likely going to have my set shot peened/anodized black soon, I just dont have the time to dedicated to having the wheels looking the way I want when polished (i.e., I don't want to be a polishing slave). If yours are clearcoated, then forget about using Mother's polish, use something like Simple Green to clean them. Here is a pic of my car before the suspension was added.

Thanks willy! FWIW, i say leave those wheels exactly as they are....both you and MCubed... But hey, thats just my opinion. Those wheels are some of the hottest available for the e36, and I think they look perfect polished!!! Especially on cosmos!!! :D
