Took my GF's mini to the stealer yesterday for her first service. $196.00 for the first service.
All they did is change the goddam oil and an intake filter. Fuckers-

Add on to that they still haven't fixed the rattle in the sunroof, dash or trunk lid. Any body else experience these issues?

Oh yeah, the cheap gearshift cracked and now comes off on every hard shift:bawl

Maintenance is supposed to be free for 5 years I thought? I haven't yet been charged for anything done on my car. :dunno

Mine doesn't have a sunroof, so I don't have any issues with that..... and my dash and trunk lid are fine. Sounds like you just got unlucky... sorry bro.

Also, if you want to get a good replacement knob I'd recommend the Whalen shift knob. Check it out at www.whalenshiftmachine.com It's a really nice knob that is heavier than stock so it makes the shifts much smoother, and makes it easier to fly through the gears. Also.. theres no way this thing would ever just pull off.

I want that shift knob replaced for free.

BMW has no charge maitenance, not Mini (In Canada at least). Sucks eh?

That's a maxi price for a Mini....what a rip off!
Better to DIY and save the $$$ for sacrafice to the Mod God!

Yep, dlrs suck. Thats why the bimmer only gets worked on by me.
I don't know how to reset the computer in the Mini yet.

Careful they don't charge you something like 10 bucks for filling up the windshield fluid tanks.

they prolly got R&I charges....

like for ex.

Open your drivers side door, close it: $5/time
Open hood and close it: $6/time
Place oil cap back on after filled: $3

ha...i bet you if you ask them they'll explain it for ya.
