battery issue: requires a jump to start

please help guys..

I was driving while just noticing the battery signal blinking near the odometer, then the brake and srs light blinked as well. Went to buy lunch and turned off the car, then car wouldnt start. called AAA, and they jumpstarted the car.

is it the battery or alternator??

If it ran after the jump then I would say its the battery.

If it ran after the jump then I would say its the battery.

OP,
Did the AAA person say it was a dead battery or did they just jump the car and not tell you anything?
Also, will the car start now or does the batt. have enough charge to run the lights only or not at all?
