Most AutoX guys are running 16" or 17" wheels. The tire selection is much better and having much less sidewall is a benefit. Check out tire rack and see if they have for high/ultra performance summer tires in that size. Be aware though that you will get a good deal of side wall roll with a 60 profile, even on higher pressures.

ya I agree, but i dont wont to spend 1g on new tires and rims. I ran autox on my e30 with 14s its not bad at all. so is there any good rubber to run on stock rims? iv looked at the online tire shops no luck :/

When i had my old E30 it had 15" wheels. I ran 215-40-15's on them.

I wouldn't spend to much money on a car with 277k miles on it. But it looks nice man. Congrats on the find.

Sweet deal. For autox stuff you could probably just roll on those stockers. I'm not sure how lightweight they are, though
A popular choice for track guys is the Kosei K1 wheel - relatively attractive, pretty cheap, lightweight, but somewhat more breakable than other wheels.
As breakable as a car wheel can be, which would take lots of stress (don't want to scare you haha)

so 5x120 and 40mm offset?
that is correct. Not sure where 5x112 came from, but thats not right for an E36...

how high/low can you go on the offset without using spacers?

I'm sure you'd be safe with some slight deviation of maybe 5-6mm maybe even more

Nice! Look on the sticker on the driver's door jamb for alt. sizes...I have the same car, except it's black. I'm pretty sure the sticker lists a 225/50 as an alternate. I think you could run that on OEM wheels and be fine for autox. (If you change wheel size at ALL, you're bumped up a class into ST) ;)
Good luck!

Did you get that car off of Craigslist? That car looks familiar.
