I'm in the market to buy one of two used E36. What general problems should I look out for that occur around 100,000 miles and earlier?

Car #1 is a 1997 with 98,000 miles. Apparently it needs a new O2 sensor and the airbags need to be reset. Will this drive well for about a month or two until I replace the part and reset the airbag? Edit: this car has been in an accident where it rear-ended another car.

Car #2 is a 1995 325i with 104,000 miles and I'm waiting to hear from the seller to see if anything is wrong with it.

I am going to Carfax both of them in a few hours as soon as I pay for the account?

Can someone tell me what major issues I should look out for? Anything that might cost me a thousand or more? Anything that would take the car off the road?

If they sound too good of a price it probably is.
they are high maintenance queens, even if you work on them yourself.
BMW swears by plastic clips and velcro.wtf

I havent seen any velcro in the years of ripping these cars apart, please show me where. If its too good to be true, just look it over good, these cars are now 10-18 years old, so pricing on them isnt going to be high.

car #1 came up with a previous accident. It rear-ended another car. I'm still waiting for a vin number from the guy with car #2.

How much do airbags cost to get reset?

How much do airbags cost to be reset?

Do airbags cost a lot to get reset? I already know the 02 sensor is about 130.
