Is this the part you ordered to carry your little pooch in the rear of the car?

do you need to use anything for the side of the car? Anything that can be done to protect the sides, or does securing them to a car set-belt work well enough.

Try Tischer Bmw online. They have ones that look a bit different. I got one for my e90, and there are separate panels to cover the doors as well. Very good quality.
Works great with my Ridgeback.

Depending on how well behaved your dog is, you can simply put him/her in a harness made for seat belts. My dog doesn't budge.

let me try to tell my girlfriends dog to behave? :-)
update.....however, in all seriousness, it is not that fact that the dog would actually run around like crazy, but it is to prevent dog hairs and stains from
getting on to the back seating surface. If I had a wagon, the dog would definitely be in the back.

I know what you mean. My 50lb dog has been in my E90 twice total. She normally rides in our X3. I cringe with the thought of knowing our dog is sitting in the rear, i had to lay blankets everywhere.

I was just about to purchase the e90 protector thing, but BMW dealerfit.com site seems to only have U.S. shipping. I emailed them to find out if I can purchase as the Canadian dollar is getting closer to PAR, so with the discount pricing, it is more worth it to purchase the e90 protection thing knowing it will also protect the side-panels.

Mine from ebay, covers the entire back seat and rear of the front seats perfectly, but the rear doors are exposed. You can fasten your dog so he cannot get to the doors. I personally dont fasten my dog mainly sleeps in the rear but occasionaly buts his paws on the doors to look out the window/stick his head out the window, i just make sure his paws are clean prior, never had an issue...............................There are some dog car hammocks on ebay with the side protectors that are reasonable priced, the bmw ones priced over $200 is ridiculous

Has anyone used this cover? How well does it fit? How long does it take to install/remove. Will it fit the E90 M3? Thanks for your help.

The e90 M3 interior dimensions are the same as the regular e90.

I have a seat cover that hangs over the front a rear headrest so the rear seat is covered as well as the backs of the front seats. I then latch him up and he just lays in his bed while we drive.
