Hello Guys,
1st post here, but I wonder if anyone can help?
My '95 Hartge conversion, which produces about 175 bhp, is seriously undergeared, and I have just had the original diff [3.8] replaced with one of 2.9. This, I understood, would give me about 31% more mph per rev, but the BMW specialist garage that I am about to pick it up from tell me that it is now pulling 60 mph at 3,000 rpm in top [5th], instead of the 65mph that it was doing at these revs previously. This is obviously very bad news, and the garage seem as impermeable to maths as to logic. So, It's all very odd, but
I'd be a very grateful man if anyone could shed some light here.
Best wishes to you all, Ant55
am checking to see if this works...
