When I rev my car up a little (maybe 5-6000rpm) and then quickly release the accelerator I hear a gargle out of the exhaust. Is this common? Also, my exhaust tips got dirty really fast with black residue. Also common?

What is the cause of this gargle?

Oh and my car is a 2007 335i.

The engine making noises....exhaust noise. When you let off the throttle the engine is an air pump until it gets to idle. You're hearing unburned gas and other cool noises. I love to hear it.
