I'm in the market for a 2006 CPO BMW 325i auto (wife-mobile that's not seriously boring for me). I want premium package and xenon, and everything else is negotiable (sports package, etc.). I prefer it to have no more than 36K miles on the odometer. How much should I expect to pay for such a car? (I'm in Northern California.)
Is $21K out the door an unreasonable expectation?

I paid $26k (or so) for a flawless CPO'd '06 325xi, premium pkg, xenons, auto and 26k miles.
0.9% financing made it a steal IMO.
You should be able to get close to that price for an "i" with a few more miles on it.

I just got an 06 325i, basic package, 25k miles, CPO, 1 year left on maitence warrenty, extended cpo 2 years on 100k warrenty until 2012. Got it for $19995. In Southern Ca.
I looked at this car a few days before and they were asking $27,000. Then, my dealer was running a 2 day end of the month sale / internet special for this car and several others. It was a wholesale price, any of the cars that did not sell were sold to the auction to make room for more cars and clear inventory in the poor auto market. I still got the 0.9% financing. I feel I got an Awesome deal and love the car.

I bought my first bimmer in March 2009. It is a metallic graphite 2006, 325i CPO with 25K miles with Premium package, Sports package, leather, iDrive/Nav, iPod, xenon, etc. for $26K plus fees/taxes, with 0.9% financing. Beautiful car in mint condition, clean record. I bought this in Northern California and did shop around before I found this. The low mileage was attractive to me. I think if I had looked harder, I may have found something for $2K cheaper, but I think I did ok since I needed a car in short order.
BTW, make sure you test drive the sports package before you decide on it!

Purchased 06 325i CPO w/50,000 miles, couple of chips and a scratch or two, nothing serious, power seats, cold weather package, extended warranty, 2 year/50,000mile maintenance program. Dealer repainted hood because of paint chips and installed new rft Continentals. $24,000.00 out the door including tax (6.5%) and title. Financed @ 0.9% for 60 months thru bmw financial. :D
I like the maintenance program that was offered, could be well worth it in the long run. BMW covers maint. including oil changes, brakes and rotors and service inspections.
