My 330i's ingition switch went out so this morning I got a rental car at our local auto center's Enterprise. At first I noticed just a MINI Cooper S at the dealership across the street, then as I got closer I noticed it was a JCW GP. Naturally, when I dropped off the rental this afternoon I had to go across the street to drive it.

Holy crap... Before this the only MINI I'd driven was a Cooper that I took a brief test-drive in several years ago. That non-S model was enough for me to fall in love. This one was just unbelievable. If only I owed little enough on my 330i, I'd probably be working on paperwork to buy that beauty right now.

Since I'd rather see a car like this go to a true enthusiast than just somebody off the street looking for a "cute car", if anyone is in the market this one's at Diamond Valley Honda in Hemet, CA. The car is number 1605/2000, has 20,000 miles on it, and they want 27,000 for it. I have no idea if that's a decent price, but if I had it to spend right now it would be mine.

that is a good price for a GP. I still see them going for $30,000 occasionally.

probably the best MINI made so far. (the current factory JCW is pretty amazing as well)

That price seems good, seen several for more $$
