Did a little search and didn't really find anything I was looking for. When I replace the fuel sender unit yesterday I ran into a problem with the fuel pump. The stock wiring has a connector with spades inside of it. The spades clip into the connector and then it connects to the fuel pump. Well the new sender unit had ring terminals on it. I went ahead and cut them off. Then I found some spades that fit onto the pump and soldered them onto the new unit. Then I proceeded to put them into the connector(after removing old wiring/spades from it) and the new spades don't clip into it.

It all fit together fine and I doubt there is enough vibration in the tank to magically cause the connectors to come off. I did wrestle with the spades a bit to go onto the terminal on the pump, so they should be ok.

So the question is, how did you guys go about wiring this up? I put the stock connector that the spades used to sit in with the new spades just so I don't loose the connector for the future and if one does decide to come off it won't short anything out.
