yep, since the bear mountain meet/black e34 thread. i'm gonna do it finally.

rebuilding the old 5er. gonna strip it down and rebuild it the right way. new front end, re-freshen the motor, new rear end, possibly 5spd swap, and more mods to come. obviously in sake of my old times, re-murder. wish me luck, guys. gonna make the best of this one.

yep. keeping it. i can't let go of old blackie. its at like 261k right now on the body, thank god its a virginia car lol, otherwise i'd have more rust than spastic's E28.

Hah, oh you guys. Down here we think of ourselves as being rusty. This is great to hear man. I expect to see the better of the blackie fleet at a meet this summer :shifty

yeah, if you guys want. gonna start scrounging up all the parts soon. so far its down to this to get it running

-O2 sensor
-Cylinder head
-head gasket
-head studs
-Timing chain

pretty much easy stuff.

i never did know why you took her off the road

timing jumped. bent the valves. pretty shitty month. first the coils all went, then alternators went(3 of them), then i had a serious misfire going, then it died.


tell me is it just a dream....

You going for rat rod or rat rod look?

Eliminate the fuel level sender and all paraphernalia that goes with it. Use an inverted beer bottle thats in line with the fuel feed to tell fuel level. And if it won't be DD, take the glass out ad all the lock mechanism. Just have a simple latch run to a pull cable inside. I'm really excited to see where this goes :D

I don't mean he's a tubby dude, cause he's lost a ton of weight, but he's like 10 feet tall too. He's just huge.
