I've been seeing threads on pics for LowTech 60/40 suspension comparisons, threads on BBS wheels, and threads about low-offset wheels so I figured I'd just start my own thread. Here are the spec of the car so far:
LowTech 60/40 springs/shocks
Stock spring pads front and rear
Rear perches at the lowest position
BBS RKs 18x8.5, 18x10 (+13 front, +28 rear w/15mm with spacer, rolled rear fenders)
235/40/18 front, 245/40/18 rear Falkens
M-Technik front lower valence
M-Tech sides
Painted lower rear bumper
I've had the LowTechs on for about 8k miles. They've settled quite a bit since new. The disappointing thing about the LowTechs is that only after 8k, the rubber bushing at the bottom of the rear shock that holds the metal sleeve that mounts to the rear upright is already worn. The rubber is cracked and torn already! In fact, when I was removing the shock to adjust the rear perch, the metal sleeve was stuck in the upright and the rubber was worn and distorted. Maybe it was the harsh Chicago winter, but still, I was disappointed to say the least. It still shouldn't have happened this quickly with only 8k miles. The pic where the 2 cars are head-to-head features my brother's car. His car is equipped with the Vogtland/Koni setup with stock spring pads. The wheels are 18x8.5 wearing 245/40/18 Falkens. He's had these on for 6k miles so they have settled as well. So for those looking for a comparison here you go...(yes I know the tow hook cover is missing. I forgot it at the body shop). Next up is 25mm spacers for the rear and 13mm spacers for the front.
