2006 330xi Short Throw Question

Hey guys - had a quick question regarding a short throw on the 2006 330xi... The B&M kit specifically says not for xi models, as does the Rogue Octane. UUC doesn't include the xi on their list, but doesn't specifically warn against it.

Is there something in the design that I'm missing? I would have assumed at least the gearbox configuration would have been the same between 330i and xi, and the differences only surfaced after the gearbox in the AWD case...

Anyone have success in installing any of these 3 models in their 330xi?

Hey all, have done a good deal of research on this, as well as sent a few emails to the shifter manufactureres, to no avail.

Any thoughts?
