Hey Guys,

New owner of '02 M3 convert (six months), awesome machine, but I (and you), already knew that :)!! Driver side rear spring is shot and needs replacing. Would like to take this opportunity to do an upgrade, possibly with the PSS 10 Coil Over Suspension Kit from Bilstein @ $1,725 at Barvarian Autosport. Would eventually like to take it to the track for a little more intense driving experience, but with a kid in college I'm on a limited budget for the next couple of years, so any improvements will be very gradual.

In any event, anyone have any experince with this particular suspension kit, or any comparable ones within this price range? Your opinions, suggestions, or experience would be greatly appreciated. Would like to do this within the next couple of weeks, as the knocking in the rear is very annoying when going over bumps. Thanks.

What happened to the rear spring?

Took the car in to have the DME Control Module reprogrammed, under a voluntary recalled of my year and the '03 M3. Told the service guy about the knocking. Their printout: "Found left rear spring cracked and missing the bottom tip of spring. Recommend replacement of both rear spring and paddings." Might as well seize the opportunity to upgrade, and make it an even more responsive machine while I'm able. Thanks

You will be better off with the TC Kline True Match kit. Better product, great support.
