theres a plug in the trunk you can unplug, but it throws a code. i did it for a week but my gas mileage went to s*** so i plugged it back in. ussually people will remove the rubber tube and seal the hole with something (Golf Tee).

It should affect anything it opens for most situations except cruising to avoid droning.

You cannot base MPG off driving a week, nobody drives the same way or route. My car has been sitting at 23.7mpg for over a year because I never reset that. It's an average and the more miles you get the more accurate teh average.

Same route I take to work every day and my driving habits didn’t change. I’m pretty sure it was accurate because I started getting my average of around 20.8 as opposed to 18.6 when I switched back. I think 300 miles is enough to get an average especially when comparing a mod to a non mod. Your average may not change over the year because you haven’t done anything to the car thats different.

I had a JB1 installed in the car and it didn't do anything to my MPG, only if I started driving harder. The strange thing is with mods, and ones that make noise is it MAKES you drive harder. But I'm guessing you have streets and redlights and traffic affect MPG, not the sound of the car. The valve is open all the time normally.

I drive different routes along with my daily, like I said you're micro analyzing your habits. If you rest your computer tomorrow it will show you horrible MPG until you do highway driving,.
