i have an E34 but the drivers door has been dented, so i am planning to replace it with a door of the same colour, i have done the same with an '88' 730, but i cant seem to find any instructions on how to swop the locking barrels over (didnt do this with the 7 and to save messing about with 2 different keys)

can anyone give me any pointers?

cheers

sam

Seriously? I have a VERY detailed, step by step writeup in the DIY section. Did you just not look, or do you want everyone to do it for you?

Why not just swap the whole handle assembly?

Well, now that you mention, it if you fancy doing it for me I won’t complain i'll just go down the pub till you have finished!!!

Can you give me the thread title, I just had a quick look but all I could find was removing a rear door actuator.

cheers

In the DIY it's "Door handle and lock cylinder replacement" so seeing as how that's exactly what you're looking for I can understand where you'd be confused.
