So, a friend of mine has a 328i coupe, I have a 328xi sedan. I noticed in the coupe that the adaptive headlights have one more trick than that of my sedan. They appear to use the same bulbs my sedan does for DRL lights to illuminate turns during tight corner at low speed. The headlights still appear to move in the same adaptive function as my sedan. I understand that the coupe uses the angel eyes for DRLs and my sedan uses the inner bulbs for DRLs but I don't understand why when the headlights are on that my sedan doesn't perform the same function.
Insight?

You can turn off your DRL's in the on board computer. Your manual has the directions. I highly doubt the coupe's headlights operate much differently than the saloon.

I am aware the DRLs can be turned on and off but we are all aware that the coupe uses the 'angel eyes' for the DRLs and the sedan uses the inner bulb for its DRLs. My observation is when the headlights are ON (not using DRLs) that the coupe will use the inner bulb to assist in lighting a corner in conjunction with the adaptive feature that turns the headlights as well. The sedan does not do this.

Gotcha. I haven't played around with the adaptive headlight feature yet. Just got the car this week and figured out how to turn off the DRL's. Much better than my 2001 540 that required a trip to the dealer and 1/2hr labor to turn them off.
