$4000 is to much for an auto 525i with 160k+ miles.

it has a feature to where if you push a certain button, it miraculously becomes worth 4k. good luck finding that button though

Doesn't seem an outlandish price to me. Have they really gotten so cheap?

I know, but all that I found that were 5spd, were abused and would need more work, figured I would get the best I could and swap when auto died.
Unfortunately, I live in a semi-rural area, and I am starting an insurance agency and the majority of the populace will count it against me driving a BMW, (the **** my wife and I got after I bought the Touring was unbelieveable). I decided I needed to go after the sales and swallow my need for Bimmer feel, new sales car '07 Malibu.:shifty Pay more for it and even with 22*** miles it is not as sure footed as the Touring with 170*** miles. I love the E34!
Hopefully I can get one or snag the T after a couple years, hopefully.

I'm in St. Louis and i found my 535 two weeks ago at a salvage yard with minor front end damage for $850.00. 68k on the clock, and . . . Its a California car . . mine is black on black as well. :)

California cars different than other n.a. spec e34s? either way.. good price! (the $850)
Bought my 535iM with 125k 5 years ago, for $6k, which was a little steep. Yeah, $4k for that auto525 seems high.

the door corners on my five twenty five are almost gone, and i have a 91' camaro that has been eaten alive by rust, and my big block chevy work truck is headed that way too. So technically, the 535 is the first solid car i have owned. Exhaust maintinence is the biggest headache.
