Well, we did a quick tune today and made some decent numbers. 250 WHP and 271WTQ. This was done on a 1994 540i with the Alusil block and an automatic transmission. Total gain was +15Whp and +9Wtq

I wish we could get a Manual on there and see how much better it would do.
The W.A.R. Chip will be available for 540 applications at the end of the week. However, it costs a little more (35.00 more) than the standard W.A.R. Chip only because of the way the W.A.R. Chip fits (or doesn't fit.) The W.A.R. Chip has to be modified to fit in the ECU.
The USB is actually Wired onto the board, so the cable is permanent. I have included a picture so you can see what I mean.

I wish I lived closer to be your guinea pig. Very impressive #'s from an otherwise stock auto.

Nice. This chip is on my list of things to get.
I do have a question regarding the M60 chip and retaining EWS, which you said was possible is a previous thread. Obviously, retaining EWS functionality is possible on single write chips because the program is written and the ECU chip aligned with EWS. Does this chip, being multi-write capable, need to be realigned every time a new program is written to it? This may be a non-issue if the included software has the capability of doing the alignment, but I thought I'd ask since I just realized this could be a potential issue.

Do e34 540i autos normally dyno around 235 on a mustang dynomometer?

Can you please make me a chip for my e34 540i m62b44 swap? just maybe bump the fuel mapping up 10% or try to apply the e39 540i mapping to the 404 tune, i need the chip to work with the 404 ecu. I have Papal waiting! I need a stable base tune!

If I buy the M60 rig, will any of the stuff be compatible with an M30?
Also, I appear to be one of several who'd be interested in at least a preliminary 4.4L map. Word on whether you could throw something together for us franken-M6x folks?

M62B44 is from obd2 car so there is no way to use those maps into OBD1 dme.
You can play with the dme 404 software for free even burn yourself own tune, the stuff is free. It is posted on ecuproject.com, there is a bin file thats the software from the dme's chip, then you load it into tunerpro free software and then you load the xdf file that tells the tunerpro how to display maps and you can play with it.

I am looking forward to swapping the TMS chip in my 404ECU with the WAR, just waiting on some funds.
I appreciate you tackling the M60 with such fervor, Brody, reflects highly on you and your company :buttrock
keep the M60 products coming!

Question. Is there a 404 on my ECU that I am not seeing? This is the ECU in my '95 540iA. :(

your ecu number is
0 261 203 484 difference is you got EWS-II

That's what I thought. This means that I cannot get a WAR Chip yet right? 484 is the number to be looking at in my case right?

Well your ecu guts are the same as 404, the so called "war chip" a proper name should be switchable eprom emulator will fit but it won't be supported until they come out with software for it.
It should not be very hard to make a proper software for 484 because the file is very similar to other '95 year bmws,

all though you got the same ecu part number the software on the chip may be bit different, thats why there is a part number on chip itself. I know for fact that ecu 413 has few different ones where maps are located at different location.

Bummer. Brody, get on the 484 ECU so I can buy (and use a chip)!
