I currently own a 1991 Red Chevy Blazer that is about to give up the ghost. The other day I found a beautiful 94 525it wagon, and fell in love. I have never owned a BMW, and I have no idea if something like this is a hobby car that will end up costing alot of money to maintain. Though my blazer might be falling apart, its not very expensive to fix, and can still last a while yet.
Is something like a 95 525i wagon worth getting, reliable, and not millions of dollars to maintain? Again, I know nothing...any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

YES! Tourings are the SEX!
Seriously though, BMW's aren't all that costly to keep well maintained. Also depends what condition it is in, if it's in crap condition you may end up having to pay some money to get it in reasonable order. So I guess what I am saying is, depends what condition it's in. :D

It's going to be expensive if you have the dealer do everything to it. However, if you do most of the work yourself and do the preventative maintenance you will find that it doesn't cost more than any other 14 year old car, yet it will run like a champ.

I'd go for a 535i wagon. V8 makes a hell of a difference.

The one I first looked at was swept from under me by someone else, so now I'm looking around for another.
