I just got my ACS shift knob in the mail from the group buy (Thanks Deepak..:) ), and I'm a little unsure about how to secure it. I took off the boot, and the knob will slide onto the lever until it widens, but this is below where the boot sits, so I would have to cut the boot opening to make room for the knob...the other option would be to secure it higher on the lever, but the knob is large enough that the bolts might not tighten enough to secure it... ...*sigh*...I am confused...someone help!:D

dismember the the shift console so you can get to underneath the shift boot... There should be a nylon tie or something securing the shiftboot to the shiftlever...

so you could just fold down more of the shiftboot and put a new nylon tie

I srewed it on, but am a little nervous about it...I just attached it a little higher than the shift boot, and I think this is the best spot for it. Thanks for the help guys! :)
