Does the 335i need to be retuned after adding a downpipe and dual cone intake to a car already installed with the JB3? Will the JB3 adapt to the new mods? What are some hp/tq numbers on the 335i E90 auto with the JB3, DP, and Intake?

You may gain some power with installing an aftermarket intake, downpipes, and/or exhaust on the stock tune, but you will yield greater gains in comparison when combined with a proper tune.

For example, I dyno'ed my otherwise stock car and an aftermarket intake, and then again with the stock airbox; same day, same dyno. The graphs showed no discernible difference. As a matter of fact, I posted a few HP higher with the stock airbox.

IMO if you want more power, your best bet would be to invest in a proper tune first, and then follow it with the free-flowing bolt-ons.

There are some JB3 guys pushing some crazy numbers, even with tune only. I'd say on average expect about 325-345whp tune only, 345-365whp with intake and exhaust, and 375+whp with downpipes and intercooler. I'm currently running the PROcede tune with a dual-cone intake and catless exhaust system (stock downpipes), and I'm pushing 356whp/364rwtq.

You'll be fine with the JB3 given your mods. The may have a tune specific to being catless, but it's not going to be a huge gain.

Sorry, I misread your first question. The way the JB3 maps are structured are independent of your mod status. You won't need a different map/tune when adding mods. The only reason you would need to change maps would be if you're running a higher octane fuel.

jb3 should take care of your mods.

Yeah, every map of jb3 is supposed to adapt to bolt-ons and whatnot. Give it a couple days of driving or a couple of good WOTs - that should do it.

As for ##'s, MOTE at e90post got pretty impressive gains (412whp 412wtq) with the following:
100 octane
JB3 1.3 84D
AR 3" Catless Downpipes
BMS DCI
Second Cat Delete

He ran maps 8, 9, and 11.
