Mass air meter

Hello team, i got a question. What will happen if i drive for a long time with a bad air flow meter? my service light is on.

O by the way its a 2001 330ci

Bad gas mileage, pinging (detonation), fail emissions, loss of power, might kill ur 02 sensors as well as other sensors due to running rich, or lean.

The car has a fail-safe program to run without your mass air meter ... it's not perfect, but it will allow you to drive without it. I wouldn't recommend it as it's not designed to work for a long time with it, but designed to not leave you stranded in the "hood".
