Trunk won't open??

Got a 2008 328, about 9 months old. Went to throw a suitcase in the trunk a few days ago. Clicked the button on the remote and it didn;t open or make that unlock click sound. I tried pushing the button underneath the steering wheel.. same problem.

any suggestions? I'm out of town for a few days, so I'm curious if it will work when I get back.. is it probably just a fuse-type thing or a symptom of a bigger issue?

Check the switch inside the glovebox (top left corner) and see if it is in the locked position. Slide it to the unlock position and that should fix the problem.

You can also use the key to open the trunk

Oh that's possible. I was digging around the glove box kind of blindly. I'll give that a shot

Lol, happened to me while I was on vacation. I got to my destination and couldn't get anything out of the trunk. After a few seconds of panic, I remembered I was fiddling in the glove box, so I checked the switch and voila :embarrasm.
