I know an e36 M3 exhaust will bolt-up with to any e36 3.25/3.28 BMW without any difficulties. Is there any actual benefit hp wise to doing this? Is the sound louder and deeper all the time? Does it ever get annoying? Does all M3's exhausts come with chrome tips? Is this mod worth it for about $200 (compared to $500+ for an aftermarket exhaust)??

I am asking about a 3.25 if it makes a difference.

I have one, no noticible performance difference, I can hear it with the radio off, never bothersome even at high speeds, I have stainless tips, and I think they all are. I wouldn't pay 200+ for one, I got mine for $100.

Aftermarkets are 30lbs lighter. They show up for sale on boards to if you hold out.
