I would search but if I do get the car it will be either today/tomorrow so I wanted a quick run down on the car. Its an 07 335i AW with sport/premium package with 37k miles. It is a BMW CPO car. They are asking 29.7, which I don't think is bad considering it is a CPO car. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me, just wondering what are some the "common" issues with the car.

Thanks and hopefully I will be in one soon.

With 37k miles, you can get them lower on the price.

There haven't really been any widespread serious issues with the 335 cars so far. There have been sporadic issues with high oil temps, wastegates, gimpy brake light warning, etc. Oil coolers were added later on, I don't remember which cars and years had them though. I haven't seen any issues even on the hottest days in traffic personally.

All of these and other issues would be covered by the CPO with a $50 deductible.

You can always request the service history of the car you are looking at from the dealer as well.

I paid $31,700 for an '07 CPO with 16k, sport/premium, manual, in late January (a fair but not great price IMO). Given the fact things are even worse now, that is way too high a price. This was also in Newport Beach, CA, not exactly a low rent district.

Due to the bad economy, my dealer sent out an official letter to everyone registered that they will take of $10,00 from any M3 sticker price or $12,000 from any 550i sticker price.

You should get a better deal than that.

What should I counter offer then? Somewhere in the high 28k range...

The car is worth whatever your willing to pay them, however it does seem a bit high. We picked up an 08 335i with 10k miles and most every package including Nav and comfort for $33.4
Dealers are hungry for business!

HOW? Thats absurdly cheap. I guess different parts of the country affect the car prices different b/c that car in texas would be sold for 37k+. The car Im thinking about getting is a 2007 335i AW auto sedan, black interior, sport and prem package, xenon headlights, 37k miles, and CPO.

Well...I ended up getting a 2007 Montego Blue Coupe, 6mt, sports/prem/cold/black interior for 31.6K and it has 27k miles. Its a CPO car as well. I will be MUCH happier with this one I think, especially coming from a 435rwhp z06
