Has anyone had their konis die on them? Just the other day while I was driving, I felt my driver side go soft. Out of nowhere it felt like I was just riding on spring. Just wondering if this is common. Should I worry about the other front strut or just replace the one.

Where is the best place to buy single koni shocks, rather than the entire set.

You should never just replace one shock, always replace in pairs, otherwise it could screw with your alignment and you will feel it in the ride because one shock will be softer than the other, but if you are going to just replace one, you can get them individually at tirerack.com depending on if you have reds, yellows or oranges (not sure if they stock all 3 types in all models)

Yes, both of my Koni Yellows leaked after maybe 10k miles. I'm the original owner and about to send them off to be warrantied.

I replaced them with Bilstein Sports. Will just sell the Konis.

Don't think it would affect the alignment. Even if the other one is older, if it works it should work like it should. As long as it isn't blown I can't imagine it getting much softer.

It won't. Springs determine ride height, and thus alignment...not shocks.
