Ok so the Lowtec groupbuy is going on right now and I want to get my name in before it hits 25. I'm looking at the 60/40 set but I am unsure how it rides. Zubbie states that he really likes his 45/30 setup, but I want my car to sit pretty low without there being a drivability problem such as potholes, bottoming out, speedbumps, tire rubbing and uneven wear. Does anyone actually have the 60/40 setup or should I go 45/40?

I think cleane34 had lowtec 60/40, and I'm pretty sure that's what ride1099 had too.

jcbe34 had a 60/40 setup on the 540 that Nickosx now owns.
I have a pic that I will post (with the rims I bought from jcbe34 that Nickosx once owned on an M5 he used to own) talk about incest

60/40 isn't as low as I hoped it would be...

IMO, it's perfect! that's as low as i would want to go on a regular set-up... anything lower and i would want coilovers... CAN'T WAIT for the GD to end!!!

You are correct. The drop is a little less than advertised on E34's although more than advertised on E36's (weird).
If you want drop without going coilover the lowest is still vogtland. In my case:
1. I'm over 40
2. Roads here are horrible
3. am interested in a conservative modded look
For you youngins (and old guys with mid life crisis issues :stickoutt) slamming is only possible with cut springs and coilovers
