Hello Everyone,

I apologize if this has been addressed but no matter how I phrased my searches, I would usually come up with 100's of matches. So...

Is there a way to have my '08 328xi Logic 7 sound system turned on and paired with my cell phone but not have an audio source playing when the phone is not in use? At times, I like to have silence while driving but would also like to have my phone ready to alert me and then talk through the car's sound system if a call comes through.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

You should just be able to turn the volume down on the radio or mute it. When the bluetooth activates, it has it's own volume control that is active via the steering wheel buttons. It is seperate from the radio volume.

I.E. you can adjust the audio volume of the bluetooth via the steering wheel when you are talking on it.

what Kevlar said... bluetooth, navigation chick, and radio/cd/aux all have independent volume settings
