My buddy's Turbo 325is has 42# PTE Injectors. His tuner is telling him that his rough cold starts are from the injector or injectors dripping :confused I have never heard of this before. Anyone have any insight on this?
What exactly is going on on this "rough cold start."
Also, more info. What EMS, also interested in who his tuner is.

The car just runs rich as hell at startup and sometimes won't hold an idle without some pedal pressure.
EMS is Stinger. Tuner is PTR Tuning
Sooo... the tuner is saying the injectors are dripping? Like the injectors are bad and not 100% sealing and leaking gas into the intake manifold/head over time. I guess that could be the case with puddling while the car is off, but I would either recommend getting the injectors checked out, or checking the tune.
I guess what I would do is, leave the car off for a few hours, or over night. Next day, or later, pull the injectors out attached to the fuel rail and see if there is a quantity of fuel left over in the intake manifold or sitting on the valves.
I doubt it would be your injectors, and more likely the tune. Does the car lean out a bit when the pedal is pressed, and then richen back up when he lets go? If so that is definate tuning imo. Leftover gas would dissapate really quickly.
Its actually fairly common for injectors to start leaking fuel like you are describing. I see this at work every so often. Quickest and easiest test is to unbolt the fuel rail and pop the injectors out of the manifold. Try to position the rail so you can clearly see all of the injector tips, cycle the key a couple times to build fuel pressure and watch the injectors. You should be able to see fuel seeping out of the tips if they are leaking, if you have a fuel pressure gauge watch that over some time as well and see if the pressure is indeed bleeding off. If you find a leaky injector then that is surely the cause of your extended crank time and rough running on start ups. either send the injectors out to be cleaned / rebuilt or buy a new set.

Thanks for the info.. they're brand new PTE Injectors with roughly 1200 miles on them.
